Fallbrook’s Independent Bookstore – featuring a wide selection of books, greeting cards, unusual gifts, and Carrie Repking’s Fine Art.


Fallbrook's local independent bookstore, The Book Nook, is located in the historic downtown district of the friendly village. They offer new and used books including children's books and adult fiction, classics and bestselling non-fiction selections. Happy to do book searches and special orders for new and used books, they give personalized service to their customers. The Book Nook participates in the American Bookseller's program, Book Sense, showcasing their recommended reading lists, pamphlets and books.

The Book Nook carries books and has book signings by local and international authors, such as the New York Times best-selling author and Edgar award winner, T. Jefferson Parker, and Fallbrook's co-authors, Tom and Laura McNeal, who write adult and young adult novels. The store also supports the reading programs and community reads put on by the Fallbrook Branch of the San Diego County Library. 

Carrie Repking, artist, with work at the Book NOok in Fallbrook, CaliforniaThe store also carries a large selection of specialty greeting cards, unusual small gifts, and artwork by owner, Carrie Repking, who has been exhibiting her artwork since 1972.  An abstract artist working in mixed media and acrylics, Carrie is active in Fallbrook’s art scene with featured and solo shows at various local galleries. Other featured artists at the Book Nook include print maker Marsha Umbour, and artist Candi Herschberger.



 

ART EXHIBIT - PIPSQUEAKS BY ART SPEAKS
Nov. 7 – Dec. 1, 2008

Small works for lean times! Come see the latest works by the group Art Speaks. The art may be miniature, but their impact is larger than life. See picture ‘Notes in Time’ which was done in a Collaborative Works Project mail art program sponsored by the San Diego Art Caucus.  Artists who worked on them include Carrie Repking, Linda Premo, Diane Adams, Debra Radke, and Nan McMillian. Start your holiday shopping early!
