Yuma,
Arizona - Historic Sites Partner to Offer a
'Passport to Adventure'
The Quechan Indian Tribe, the Arizona Historical Society,
Arizona State Parks, the City of Yuma, and the Yuma Crossing National
Heritage Area have teamed up to promote visitation to Yuma’s historic
sites by offering The Yuma Passport to Adventure. This program
offers a heavily discounted admission price package to Yuma’s premiere
historical and cultural treasures: Yuma Territorial Prison State Historic
Park, Yuma Crossing State Historic Park, Sanguinetti House Museum, Quechan
Tribal Museum and Yuma Art Center Museum.
These keepsake passports can be purchased for only $10 each at the Yuma
Convention and Visitors Bureau Visitor Center, which is located at 377 N.
Main Street, in downtown Yuma.
Passport holders will expand their knowledge and awareness of local
history, culture and the arts. "This is the type of collaboration that
will help us enrich the visitor experience by sharing the history of Yuma
with more and more people.", commented Charles Flynn, Executive Director
of the Heritage Area.
For
more information about the passport contact the Yuma Crossing
Heritage Area at (928) 373-5194, or Yuma Convention and Visitors Bureau
(928) 783-0071, or (800) 293-0071
