Best Western Coronado Motor Hotel
Located in the historic district of downtown Yuma, Arizona - just two blocks from Yuma's historical and cultural sites - the Best Western Coronado Motor Hotel is Yuma's first motor hotel and it is the Best Western hotel group's oldest facility.

John and Marie Peach opened this adobe motor hotel in 1938, and called it Casa de Coronado. It is still in the Peach family, now run by John and Yvonne Peach, and it has expanded to offer quite a bit more than the original motel.  Today, the Spanish-style Best Western Coronado Motor Hotel is a newly remodeled, AAA three diamond establishment that boasts a friendly, resort-like atmosphere.

The Best Western Coronado Motor Hotel offers 86 comfortable rooms with King and Queen beds, and some with kitchenettes. Over 75% of the rooms are smoke-free, and the hotel also offers accommodations for the physically challenged. Rooms feature electronic door locks, kitchenettes, free local calls, in-room safes, ironing boards and irons,, hair dryers, TV with DVD in all rooms plus a library of over 600 movies at no charge. For your convenience, guests can also use the two on-site laundry facilities. The property has two sparkling swimming pools (one heated), and a heated Jacuzzi to enjoy. Hotel guests also enjoy a full, complimentary breakfast at the Yuma Landing, the hotel's restaurant that features a full restaurant, a separate coffee bar and a sports bar. Children under 12 can stay at no charge in the same room with their parents. Small pets are welcome

The Best Western Coronado also houses a private museum open by appointment only. The Peach family has a love of history that is apparent by the photos and memorabilia they have collected and displayed celebrating Yuma's past as well as the history of their family and the hotel. The museum is the original lobby of the hotel and houses the original switchboard, Best Western convention pictures, travel guides, cash registers and magazines; along with vintage kitchenware and clothing. Another historical aspect of the hotel is the first plane to land in Arizona landed on October 25, 1911, on what is now the current site of the Yuma Landing Restaurant. The restaurant is also owned and run by the Peach family, and again, the walls are adorned with historical aircraft memorabilia as well as beer and citrus supplier labels.

Both the hotel and restaurant have a hospitable group of staff that believe the needs and desires of their guests are their first priority. It is refreshing in the this day of automated everything. With a history of more than fifty years of providing top notch hospitality for hundreds of satisfied guests, staying at the Best Western Coronado Motor Hotel is a safe bet whether you are visiting Yuma and enjoying the sunshine and history, or you are visiting for business reasons.

The Best Western Coronado is a pleasant, comfortable and secure place to stay, offering all the conveniences business travelers or vacationers need.
