Hair & Make Up for Your Wedding Day

When it comes to the big day, the only thing that matters, as a bride, is for everything to go smoothly.  Right?  So you have the flowers, the cake, and the decorations with your colors, the placements, the food, the drinks, the place, the ceremony, and I could go on.  The last thing you want to worry about is your hair and makeup.  So it is very important to make sure these things are in place. 

I think the most important thing on, is that you look like yourself on your wedding day.  Remember it is your hair and your face, not your mothers or your mother in laws.

As a stylist my goal with my brides is to make sure they are very comfortable with what ever we do.  So, find a stylist you trust and do a trail run.  It is also great to do the trail run on a day you have a fitting for your dress.  This way you can see if your dress works the hair style. 

Theme is also very important.  If you have a retro wedding have retro hair.  If you have a modern wedding have modern hair.  The dress seems to be the highlight of the wedding so go with the style of the dress as well.  If there is embellishments on the top of your dress have your hair up.  Wear your hair down if you have a simple dress and want to look soft.  Again don’t do something you wouldn’t do normally.  You want to feel and look like you. 

Being the stylist, I like to do a package deal where I include up to two trial runs plus the day of, including all traveling expenses.  This way I make my bride extremely comfortable and there are little to no surprises the day of.
