About Greer, Arizona
Home to a small population of around 100 residents, Greer is a quaint year-round recreational paradise located near the head of the Little Colorado River, in Arizona’s White Mountains at an elevation of 8,500 feet. Spring features beautiful wildflowers and great bird watching. Summers are the peak tourist season offering tall pines and beautiful lakes, cool afternoon showers, and wildflowers in the meadows. Fall is vibrant with forests of aspens, oaks and willows changing their leaves into rish yellows and oranges. Winter is magical in the area featuring skiing, sleigh rides, or snowmobiling. Greer offers visitors a plethora of outdoor activities to enjoy including horseback riding, camping, sailing, fly fishing, biking, photography, bird watching and wildlife viewing. In fact, it’s not uncommon to spot deer or elk drinking from one of the many clear lakes or streams in the area. There are plenty of lodging opportunities to chose from including lodge resorts, cabin rentals, and Bed & Breakfast Inns, making Greer an ideal romantic retreat or honeymoon escape, and also the ideal family getaway.
