Best
Plants For New Mexico Gardens and
Landscapes Written by Baker
H. Morrow, reviewed by Nancy J. Reid
This is a superb book that any
gardener will admire and want to own--especially those in the
New Mexico area or those in areas with similar soil and climate
conditions. I like the way the book is laid out, it is very easy
to find just exactly what you are looking for. It is full of
gardening and landscaping tips as well as a lot of good, solid
information ranging from soil types, to climate, and good plant
choice. Baker H. Morrow, a landscape architect in Albuquerque
for 25 years, and author of A Dictionary of Landscape
Architecture as well as best Plants, does a great job of
delivering good information in a concise and organized manner.
Best Plants also takes you on a journey through many of New
Mexico's historic man-made landscapes as well as taking you from
town to town, giving you a plant list and a good look at what
grows where.
This is definitely a must for any
gardener in New Mexico or the surrounding areas.
Baker H. Morrow was a featured guest on SouthwestBlend.com’s online
