The
Cure For Spring Fever?
A Trip To Sedona, Arizona
By Tracy Phillips, Southwest Travel
Guru
The sun is shining. Skies are blue. Flowers are
blooming. And all of a sudden, it seems like torture
to stay inside… Spring is here! And so is spring
fever, that overwhelming compulsion to get outside
and simply breathe. There is no better place to
relish in the beauty of spring then Arizona’s Red
Rock country, Sedona. Spectacular Red Rocks,
colorful wildflowers and so many ways to play
outside.
Of
course, one will want to stay where there is easy
access to the great outdoors… One such spot is The
Ridge on Sedona Golf Resort. The resort sits
between the Sedona Golf Resort & breathtaking Red
Rock formations. Additionally, it is conveniently
located just minutes from many of Sedona’s premier
hiking & biking trails. Amenities include: heated
pools, hot tubs, grill areas, spa services, fitness
center and personal Concierge service. The one
bedroom suite offers: full kitchen, fireplace,
whirlpool tub, private patio or balcony,
washer/dryer and sleeps four comfortably. Imagine
returning from a full day of outdoor activities and
relaxing with a glass of wine on the private
balcony…
Got. To. Get. Outside. NOW! But what to do? Sedona
is known for its phenomenal hiking and mountain
biking trails. Take a hike up Bell Rock or walk
along scenic Oak Creek Canyon. Want a little less
strenuous outdoor activity? How about a Jeep tour?
Ride in an open Jeep through canyons and deep into
those beautiful Red Rocks. Or float above it all in
a Hot Air Balloon. Crisp morning air, unbelievable
scenery and a champagne toast, doesn’t get much
better than that. Feeling adventurous? Go for a
horseback ride to a working ranch, and then dine
cowboy style under the stars. Finally, breathe in
the clean air and relax by the pool. That’s the
great thing about a Sedona vacation; one can do as
much or as little as one wants…
No
trip to Sedona would be complete without a couple of
great meals. And Sedona has a wide variety of dining
options, that are sure to please everybody. For that
special meal try Fournos restaurant in West Sedona.
Five-star
Chef Ivan
Flowers creates over the top
Mediterranean-Italian cuisine. One must try the
award winning lobster bisque. Another not to miss
dish is the rack of lamb. Throw in a bistro
atmosphere and boutique wine list and Fournos
becomes the place for dinner. If Southwestern food
is the craving, then try Javelina Cantina. Located
in the Hillside Shopping Center, the Javelina
Cantina offers fabulous views with their margaritas.
Don’t miss the enchiladas and guacamole!
So, take off that coat and leave the sweater at
home. It is time to take a spring break and get away
to Sedona!
So, whether it’s recess or romance one is after,
Sedona fits the bill. Don’t let these last days
of summer go by without getting in a trip… Get
away to Sedona, Arizona today!
